The hunt for the first dog by Obama family has finally come to an end on April 14, 2009. It was on the very day - April 14, 2009 that the new six-month-old puppy, named Amigo's New Hope—aka Bo has made his public debut and officially stepped into the royal White House. Bo the beautiful black and white Portuguese water dog has been gifted President's daughters Malia and Sasha by Senator Edward M. Kennedy, who owns the same dog breed too!
In a statement, the animal behaviorist Mary Burch of the American Kennel Club said, "This breed possesses a lot of energy, so without training or a job to do, the dog may entertain itself by running full-speed down the West Wing or barking at Republicans."
